The End
The walls of room B418 called out to me, "Didn't you just arrive to leave so soon?" The question seemed to resonate with me, but unfortunately, we both knew the answer to it. I took one last look at the room and wing, which had become a second home for months, and walked away!
As I walked past Nandini, the jeera majege in the fridge conversed with me, "Will you remember to have me after lunch now?" This question brought forth more emotions in my stomach than in my mind, saying, "I will miss your soothing effect."
Glancing over Nescafe in my stride, I heard someone shout, "Sudhir anna one double Maggi." Hearing this line brought a smile to my face. It asked me, "Haven't I been the best escape to mess food?" I replied saying, "Anna one Maggi and hot chocolate." Sprinkling the masala on the Maggi just felt blissful for some reason!
The next stop on the way was the Sports Complex! It called out, "Did I not teach you both the highs of winning and lows of injuries?" A tear crawled down my cheek. I walked to Amul and ordered a limonata to do my usual routine after visiting the SC.
The ground staring at me near Amul asked, "Haven't I given you the best inci nights here?" Suddenly, I went down jogging my memory lane, reminiscing each of those amazing nights, and replied, "You are the reason for my dancing skills!"
From a distance, LHC-B/A questioned, "Do you even remember this was the first place you visited on campus?" All those wonderful friendships formed by randomly chatting here in my first year came to the forefront. I walked past in silence.
On walking further, another voice was whispering to me. The Pavillion inquired, "Aren't your best memories here that of chilling with your friends?" The memory now became prominent. I felt like ordering from Swiggy and calling one of them to unwind, only to remember that the campus was now deserted.
With a heavy heart, I now plodded to FnH and ordered a coffee. I got back a coffee with an extra puff. FnH said, "Its a parting gift from me." The stairs of SAC attracted me, so I headed there. Seeing the flight of stairs, I wanted to ask my usual question, "Which one do you want to sit on?" but no one was there to answer it this time.
Don't places become unforgettable because of the people you spent time with there?
It was time for the final stretch, the beach road in all its glory inviting me. I saw three peacocks walking across and realized how they used to light up my beach walks! Each time the beauty of the road awed me, and this time was no different.
I reached the beach and put forth my question before it could ask, "Do you even remember any student who comes here as you wash away their footprints the very next moment? It replied, "Yes, each of you leaves your footprints on the sands of time, and I have captured each of those moments."
I sat there staring at the horizon, looking for the end but is there ever an end?
Very Beautiful! :)
