Is life worth playing safe?
It's my belief that we all live a life within boundaries not daring to take a step out of it. It's because of this subdued style that we often miss out on many unexplored arenas. We tend to follow things passed down generation after generation without questioning them. Anyone who tries to go beyond these leashes created by us itself is the one who is considered abstract.
Every human being is unique, possessing their own abilities and skills, however the society always imposes on us a collective way of behaving. The problem arises when we try to be the same as everyone else. It
creates paranoia as we are created to be different just like every leaf
in the world. Why do we fear to go against norms to try things we never have? The collective way of behavior has been defined by us and thus is not the rule of Universe to abide by, we only are meant to go about trying it's optimization by experiencing the untried!
We end up fearing that it's ominous to overflow because we might end up flooding areas occupied by our loved ones drowning them with our love. However it's fear which is our impediment in life pinning our wings when we want to fly high in the sky. Occasionally on self evaluation, we realize that we don't take decisions, that might be risky in fear of losing out on a secure one which inhibits our living. Its a leap of faith which has to be taken.
It's our lack of awareness of life that makes us question our decisions and live life with more vigour when we have an awareness of death. At the end no one will ever question your decision or actions as only you bear the sole responsibility of it. It's better to explore daily and live a shorter life than lengthening it but still following the same routine.
We comfortably avoid all that exists beyond the walls we create around ourselves. Within these walls we become so content living our mediocre lives that we do not try to ameliorate it that we always end up regretting at the end moments of existence. It's similar to an aquarium where we are the fish being periodically and contently being fed thus never feeling the urge to look beyond the glass walls enclosing us.
We must remember that there is no one fixed path to tread on. All of us have to break the shackles holding us back and experience the unknown, neglecting the judgemental views of any person because they are part of the group who are supposed to be judged not us. Despite a tunnel might be dark only having a light at the end, it's worth walking the distance to obtain it.
"Has anyone ever questioned why we all use a QWERTY keyboard and not a keyboard in alphabetical order?
Has anyone ever thought why the clock hands go in the direction specified and not the other way?"
"Be like the fountain that overflows not like a cistern that merely contains."

“We cannot become what we want to be by remaining what we are.”
